Piper Navajo PA31-310
Other survey aircraft include three Piper Navajo Pa31-310s, registrations
C-GKSA, C-GKSB and C-GKSI. The aircraft are magnetically clean and have extended
tail-stingers and dual extended wing-tip pods. The separation between the
wing tip pods is 14.9 metres, offering excellent horizontal gradient
resolution. Typical survey sorties are 4.5 to 5.5 hours in duration.
The aircraft are equipped with cargo doors, full de-ice with
heated glass windshields, air conditioning, dual heaters, vortex
generators, nyak long range fuel tanks, Bendix/King RDS 82 colour weather
radars, Bendix/King KRA-405 radar altimeters as well as other avionics
upgrades.
The Navajos are owned and operated by KalusAir Services Inc. of
